The Doppeldisk is an electromagnetic pickup designed for your Chromaplane and Haloplane. Simply connect it to your instrument with a 3.5 mm patch cable: you can let it drone away on the surface, or create chords and texture between multiple fields.

Different pickups offer different ways to interact with your instrument. With its large surface area and flat design, the Doppeldisk rests securely on the instrument without easily sliding or falling off. Your hands will be free to turn knobs, make patches, or play other instruments.

The pickup features a 3.5 mm jack instead of a permanently attached cable, so you can choose a cable length and feel that suits your setup. If a cable becomes damaged, you can replace it without replacing the pickup.

This accessory is called Doppeldisk because it has another unique application mode: you can use it in reverse, meaning instead of picking up electromagnetic fields, you can use it to generate them!

Connect multiple Doppeldisks to audio outputs, arrange them, and play your own sounds through them. Each disc becomes an electromagnetic sound source that you can explore using the standard Chromaplane or Haloplane pickups (or any electromagnetic pickup connected to an external preamp). Headphone and line outputs can all generally drive the discs, so there's no need for a dedicated power amplifier or any additional equipment. With just a few discs and audio sources, you can build your own customizable, Chromaplane-like instrument.

Beyond the Chromaplane and Haloplane, the Doppeldisk also works as a sensitive electromagnetic microphone for field recording. Explore the electromagnetic sounds of everyday electronics. Just connect it to a recorder or audio interface and turn up the gain. The Doppeldisk does not require/use phantom power.
